CAS Watercolor challenge... a reminder :)

Hi there!

I made this card to remind you that there is still time to join Bonnie & Loll's CAS watercolour challenge  with a snowflake theme!

Here it is :

The snowflakes were cut with my Silhouette cameo, and swooshed through watercolor (zigs spritzed with water on acetate)

After giving 3 octagon dies a very light color wash, I adhered the snowflakes to them, and positioned it diagonally on my card base with sentiment.
Added a tiny blue rhinestone to the center of each snowflake as final touch.

As always , feel welcome to download the sentiment for personal use:

I would like to play along in the following challenges:

Time out challenges ~ Winter (without the additional twist)

&

Curtain call challenge ~ Icicle

                  Grab Our Badge!

I hope to see you join the watercolor fun!

Hugs and thanks for visiting me today!

There is always time for tea

Hi there!

Just a quick hello with a card I made for the one layer challenge at Less is more this week.

The theme is : Your favorite drink/beverage !

With a lot of masking, stamping and stenciling I came up with this card:

Uniko studio : I love tea

A closer look:

Uniko studio : I love tea

The stamp set is from UNIKO, and is called I love tea.

Black stamping with Versafine.

Stenciling with:
  • Tide Pool
  • Orange Soda
  • Butter Bar
(Hero Arts)

Always a pleasant surprise when you remove the mask and see the result!

Thanks for visiting!
Have a great week.

Inspired by all the little things... Guest designing!

Hi there!

I am so honored to be the guest designer, invited by the amazing Karren Johnson, at Inspired by all the little things !

I try to play along as often as I can, and LOVE the inspiration photos!

This week is no exception, just look at this inspiration filled photo!

Those flowery hearts immediately caught my eye, and this is my card:

A closer look:

By now you know that the Brush Art Floral set by Altenew is one of my favorites! It just so versatile and useful to fill spaces and create beautiful shapes.

I LOVE the way it looks stamped in red! (Ranger Watermelon pigment ink)

I masked the heart using a die cut , and stamped the flower repeatedly to completely fill the space.
I also stamped a couple of black dots, and lastly added my sentiment from the Silhouette store: Design ID #148913 {printed, not cut}.
Added a couple of rhinestones to represent the bling in the inspiration photo.

I would love to see you play along !

Thanks so much for the invitation Karren!

I am adding my link to the challenge at :

CAS on Sunday ~ B&W with one color of your choice.

Seize the muse :)

Hi there!

So glad all my favorite challenges are back in business!

Today I am joining Muse card club & Seize the birthday .

Anita is the Muse and there's an everything goes challenge at Seize the birthday.

Here's my card:

A closer look:

The banner is a digital stamp pinned on my Free Printable board here, and is from :
Free pretty things for you.

I added the birthday sentiment in the Silhouette studio, font used : Cashew Apple Ale.

I added a small offset to the image, and welded it to a circle. Colored the image with Promarkers, and on the card base, created a dotted background also with my Promarkers.

Lastly popped up the top panel on the card base using fun foam.

As inspiration, I focused on the following:

  • Circle focal point with banner across.
  • Birthday card.
  • Color combination of pastel rainbow and black.

CAS(e) this sketch #204

Hi there!

Thursday already and January almost halfway, phew, can you believe it?!

But Thursday means it is time for a new CAS(e) this sketch !

My card(s) for your inspiration:

Inks used:

For the flower:

  • Butter Bar (Hero Arts)
  • Mustard seed (Tim Holtz)
  • Spiced Marmalade (Tim Holtz)
For the background and outline of the flower:
  • Faded Jeans (Tim Holtz)

... and:

Inks used:

For the flower:

  • Sea Glass (Avery Elle)
  • Salty Ocean (Tim Holtz)
  • Faded Jeans (Tim Holtz)

For the background :

  • Butter Bar (Hero Arts)
→ I don't know a lot about all the different inks and ways to use it, and took a chance by combining a pigment ink (the sea glass from AE) and distress inks, and it worked quite well as you can see in the second card ←

The flower needs no introduction... It's from The Beautiful day set by Altenew.
The stencil is from  a South-African company Enmarc.

I masked the flower after stamping to add the stenciled dotty background.

The sentiment for the first card was die cut from gold glittered card stock I saved from our Christmas crackers ! I collected quite a few crackers after everyone left, also some in silver 😊

Yay for ♻ !

Adding my link to some challenges:

The flower challenge  ~ Blue and yellow

Happy little stampers  ~ CAS stencils

The paper players  ~ Theme challenge to recycle

Thanks for visiting me today... hope to see you join us this week!

Hello : take 2

Hi again!

As promised, here is the card I made featuring the 'left-over' frame from the previous card!

Inspired by the same challenges:

Photo inspiration from the Altenew January challenge , and technique challenges from Happy little stampers January watercolor challenge (without the optional twist)  and Anything goes with dies.

... and adding one  two more : (thanks Sarah for noticing the ombre tones !)

AAA cards  ~ Hello   & Less is more ~ Ombre

My card:

Altenew Golden Garden

Up close:

Altenew Golden Garden

I used the Altenew Golden Garden set, stamped with Vintage photo & Mustard seed, and also water colored with the same 2 colors.

The hello sentiment is from the Floral Frame set, also by Altenew.
I was mostly inspired by the colors from the photo, but focused on one single flower this time.
For interest I used 2 layered frames. The bottom one cut from brown fun foam, and the top one, as earlier mentioned, the 'left-over' from my previous card.

That's it!

Thanks again for looking.

Hello : take 1

Hi there!

Just popping in to show you what I created today !

Photo inspiration from the Altenew January challenge , and technique challenges from Happy little stampers January watercolor challenge (without the optional twist)  and Anything goes with dies.

Here it is:

Altenew Golden Garden

I used the Altenew Golden Garden set, stamped with Vintage photo & Mustard seed, and also water colored with the same 2 colors.

The hello sentiment is from the Floral Frame set, also by Altenew.

I was mostly inspired by the colors from the photo , and the abundance of beautiful flowers!

To add interest I added an inlay die cut frame in gold glitter paper using the rectangle pinpoint dies from Memory Box.

As the title of this post indicates, there is another card on its way using the frame that was the result of the inlay die cutting I did for this card!

Stay tuned!
